Follow the recipe
Put oven on 200C or Gas 7 and lightly grease a baking tray.
Put flour, baking powder and caster sugar in a bowl.
Add butter and rub in with your fingertips until the mixture is like breadcrumbs.
Crack the eggs into a small bowl or cup and add a little milk ( 2 teaspoons)
Add eggs to the mixture and mix until a sticky dough.
Roll into a ball and place on a lightly floured surface. Roll out and cut using a cup or biscuit cutter.
Place in oven on the prepared baking tray for 15 minutes.
Spread with butter and jam. Enjoy and share with your family.
You can add any fruit, cheese or treacle to change the flavour.
450grams/1Ib self-raising flour
2 level teaspoons baking powder
50g/2 oz. caster sugar
100g/3.5 oz butter (cut into pieces)
A little milk
