Make a headband

Option 1 – a natural headband

STEP 1
Go on a hunt and see if you can find:

Flowers, grass, leaves, berries, fir cones or any other interesting things from nature.

You will also need:

Some cardboard – an old cereal box will do.

Scissors, pens and tape or glue.

STEP 2
Cut a strip of card. Draw a pattern on it. It could be curves or zig zags. Glue or stick the natural things you have gathered at regular intervals on the card.

STEP 3
When you have finished glue the two ends together to make a headband.

Option 2 – a flower chain

STEP 1
Go on a hunt and gather flowers.

Using your thumbnail, carve a centimeter slit into the stem of the flower. This could be a daisy or a dandelion.

STEP 2
Once you have created a slit, take another flower from your collection and pull the stem through the slit of the original flower. This will creates the chain-like effect for your headband.

STEP 3
Repeat this step as many times as you please to achieve a desired length for the headband. You can add other things to decorate your pony’s headband.

Look out for these flowers
