L is for Learning

The Traveller Alphabet Book

Think about what you learn in different places.

What things do you learn at home, in school and outdoors?

Who do you learn from at home? What things do they teach you?

What is your favourite way to learn? Do you like to make things, use numbers, imagine or draw? Do you prefer learning on your own or with someone?

Read ‘The Lost Homework’ to find out all the things that Sonny learned with his family over a weekend.

Make a diary in a book or on a piece of paper.

Write down or draw all the different things you learn in one week.

Learning is intertwined with daily life and can take place anywhere.

Chavvies enjoy intergenerational learning at home with parents, siblings, grandparents and extended family. New skills and knowledge are gained from a rich variety of outdoor experiences as well as in school with teachers and friends.
