Wee Bessie saw lots of different insects on her travels

Find out all about insects in this activity.

You will need:

Paper

Coloured pencils, pens or paints

A phone or iPad

STEP 1
Look at the Bessie story again. How many different kinds of insects can you see? Count them.

STEP 2
Now, go outside and see if you can find an insect to photograph with a phone or iPad. Try to get very close without disturbing the insect.

STEP 3
Now do a drawing of an insect. Your photo will give you lots of ideas for the details like legs, wings and eyes.

Create a nice background for your insect. It might be grass or a tree branch.
