STEP has partnered with members of travelling communities to create learning activities that can be shared by family members at home.  It is widely known that education is most effective when community learners can take lead roles, ensuring that resources and materials are relevant to everyday lives, culture and interests.   There are stories created by community members — some are modern and some are handed down through generations and retold.  Some activities recognise the importance that communities place on the outdoors, real-life learning or creativity.  Other activities recognise a strong oral tradition where high levels of literacy are not required.
