This creative publishing project brings together two internationally acclaimed professional artists, an award-winning author, and a university committed to inclusive literacy, working alongside children from Pledge schools across Scotland to publish a new picture book that centres on authentic representation of culture and identity.
Join us for this next creative online session led by Richard O’Neill (MBE), a sixth generation master storyteller and author from the Romani tradition, in partnership with children’s book illustrator Michelle Russell, and renowned Scottish Traveller artist and activist Shamus McPhee.

Traveller Education Network (TENET) Scotland: Professional learning and networking
Join us at Moray House in Edinburgh for a whole-day session with opportunities to network and share practice with colleagues. In addition to national news and updates from the network, this session continues our exploration of Transformative Pedagogies. We will reflect on how we can develop transformative literacy encounters that embrace the cultural, linguistic and lived experiences of children and young people from Gypsy/Traveller and Roma communities.  We look forward to participating in and discussing with you how we cultivate such practices within specific social, historical, economic and political educational spaces.
