STEP has launched a graphic novel competition to raise awareness of the bullying behaviour that can often be experienced by the children from Gypsy/Traveller families when they attend schools.
We have teamed up with Metaphrog to create an unfinished story in the form of the graphic novel ‘Shifting’. Teachers should work with classes in small groups to discuss the issues raised through the story and to reflect on how the narrative can be changed.
There will be five prizes with a first prize of an iPad going to the winning entry. We will also ask Metaphrog to illustrate the winning endings and the these will be shared with schools throughout Scotland.
